Diversity Training/Consulting Multicultural Publics
D.L.’s experience with diversity training reaches communities ranging from Alabama and Florida to California and Oregon. He helped create the Oregon Multicultural Alliance, a group of representatives from Oregon’s public four-year institutions dedicated to confronting and solving the issues facing students of color attending Oregon’s institutions of higher education. He has taught university and high school students as well as civic communities how to handle racial issues involving students and encourage events that foster positive multicultural relationships.
Public Speaking & Journalism
D.L. served as an assistant professor of communication and journalism for a dozen years. He not only taught Public Speaking to university and high school students, but he also conducted Public Speaking seminars for high school students and organized and ran high school newspaper workshops. He also served as advisor for university student newspapers.
